Shows how much the people in the UK take the piss and still manage to lose it.

Completely agree - shipping rates in the UK are outrageous. Hell, it only cost me 15 Euro to ship the backpack cable reel and frame in from the Fatherland, and thats one right heavy bugger!

Heh, shipping rates from the US are even higher though!

Eastern Europe and the Far East always seem damn cheap...

I love Belgian beers. Luckily I can get them anywhere over here and fairly cheap.

Karmeliet (triple) is one of my favs.

* Post-war backpack in unissued condition. May not be entirely accurate, but definitely better for hauling kit than a modern bergen.
* US 1943 stamped laundry bag. Unused, with numbered token.
* Unissued post-war Esbit cooker.
* Breadbag in unissued condition of unknown origin. Colour's a bit strange. Attempting to lighten/age it in the sun.
* Canvas anklets (British). Used condition.

The lot for EUR 35.

Didn't find any old brown boots unfortunately, they only had the one pair (which were 5-6 sizes too small) and said they never really get them anymore.

Hehe, don't I know it! I've already got 11 field telephones (the collection started with my first two field phones, bought exactly 1 year ago at last years' Beltring!), and now this Switchboard - that's an average of a piece of equipment every month!
Still looking for a British assault reel...

Sounds expensive. I assume there is a lot of traders there yes?

I'm hoping to go saturday for a bit or retail therepy myself. Especially looking for things that will finish off my French (both FFL and the regualr metropolitan looks) and Home guard/restsitance kit-outs.

To the tune of "Mademoiselle from Armentières"

Napoleons army ran away, As you do
The guard stood firm for Frances Pride, As you do
They said the guard will stand and die
But we heard what their Colonel cried
It wasn't pretty I tell you.

Resistance is fertile
